Linear Junior-Senior High School, Shreveport, Louisiana

History 

Linear Junior-Senior High School began in 1961 as a result of increasing demand for secondary education in Caddo Parish. It began as Linear Junior High School with an enrollment of 760. By 1970 it had grown to a population of 1,675 students.  Linear Junior High School existed for five years before promotion to Linear Junior–Senior High School. Both, schools were managed by a principal who had headed three additional schools as their principal. Mr. Thomas Edward Howard, Sr. had been principal at Oak Hill Junior High School, Greenmoor Elementary School, Linear Junior High School and Linear Junior-Senior High School.

Linear High School awarded approximately eight hundred diplomas and the Wildcats endured until the 1970 -1971 school  session.
